Mark LaCelle-Peterson joins TEAC as new Vice President

Dr. Mark LaCelle-Peterson has been named vice president of the Teacher Education Accreditation Council and will represent TEAC in national arenas to promote faculty inquiry, and to support institutions as they improve quality. Mark has served TEAC as a consulting and staff auditor over the past three years and participated in many aspects of the TEAC acceditation process. He is currently a member of the joint TEAC/NCATE Design Team (on the future of accreditation of educator preparation programs). As chair of the Education Department of Houghton College (NY), LaCelle-Peterson guided the program through the process of becoming one of the earliest to receive TEAC accreditation. He has worked in teacher education in New York State since 1993, having taught at SUNY Geneseo, Roberts Wesleyan College, and Houghton College, and he has served on the executive boards of the New York State Association of Teacher Educators and the New York Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
