TEAC announces two new appointments to the Board of Directors

Dr. Leslie T. Fenwick, Dean of the School of Education at Howard University, and Dr. Charlene Rivera, research professor at The George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development and executive director and founder of The George Washington University Center for Equity and Excellence in Education, have joined the TEAC Board of Directors. Dr. Fenwick, an advocate for preparing teachers and education leaders for urban schools, has nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, public policy, philanthropy, and urban K-12 schools. Dr. Rivera focuses her work and research on issues that address English language learners in terms of state assessment policies and practices, accommodations, accountability, national standards, program evaluation and reporting, and leadership development. The continued development of TEAC will benefit from the experience and expertise of these new board members.
