TEAC Accredits Seven Programs

At its June 13, 2011 meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, TEAC’s Accreditation Committee accredited the following seven programs: Chapman University (CA) Educational Studies Program; Rockhurst University (MO) Professional Education Unit; University of Charleston (WV) Education Program; University of Nebraska – Lincoln Teacher Education Program; University of Texas – Tyler Teacher Education Program; University of Tulsa (OK) Teacher Education Program; and William Woods University (MO) School District Administration Program. Congratulations to these programs. To date, TEAC has accredited 127 programs in 100 institutions of higher education in 25 states.

Invitation to review, comment, and learn about proposed CAEP option

As TEAC and NCATE continue consolidating some of our accreditation processes under CAEP, we are developing options for program review. A proposed new option, currently labeled Option 2 or 2b, is under consideration. We would like your feedback on a proposal for developing or implementing this new option.

Members of the CAEP Interim Board will provide information about the new program review option (Option 2) being developed for CAEP and will solicit questions, comments and feedback from attendees.
