Sandra Cohen

Member of the Board of Directors

For the past fourteen years, Sandra Cohen has served as Director of Teacher Education at the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia. She has worked on a number of advisory boards and national committees and been active in numerous state projects, committees, and professional organizations. Cohen coauthored two books on exceptional children and her articles are widely published in the field. She joined the UVA faculty in 1975 and is currently a full professor in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education. Cohen’s PhD is in special education from Georgia State University.
