Director
of Formative Evaluation
Ludwig Mosberg is a former faculty member in the College
of Arts and Science and in the College of Human Services, Education,
and Public Policy at the University of Delaware. Prior to 1994,
Mosberg served in the College of Education at the University of
Delaware as professor, chair of the Department of Educational Studies,
and Director of the Center for Educational Leadership and Evaluation.
Mosberg earned his BS in psychology from the University of Michigan
and a PhD also in psychology from the University of California -
Los Angeles. His areas of scholarly interest include information
processing, language comprehension, cognition, and instruction.
He
served as Group Head at the Southwest Regional Laboratory for Educational
Research and Development. While at the University of Delaware, Mosberg
served on a number of university and national association committees
in a variety of areas including evaluation, faculty governance,
and academic freedom. He has been a reviewer for the Journal of
Educational Psychology, Prentice-Hall and Harper and Row Publishing
Companies, and the American Educational Research Journal. Mosberg
is a member of the Program Effectiveness Panel for USDE.
Mosberg has primary responsibility
for the initial advisement to programs preparing an Inquiry Brief.
