AUDITORS - Verifying the rationale and other text in the Inquiry Brief

The auditors need to probe assertions made in the Inquiry Brief, particularly in the rationale and in the quality control system, to determine if the referents exist and mean exactly what they seem to mean. The purpose of these probes is to verify that the match between the referent and the language in the Inquiry Brief is accurate and precise. The verification of many assertions resides in the precision of the language used to denote them.
