Massachusetts Signs Partnership Agreement with TEAC
January 18th, 2010In November 2009, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts joined eleven other states in signing a partnership agreement with TEAC that aligns the requirements and processes for TEAC accreditation with state program approval.
TEAC’s President Frank B. Murray noted, “We are pleased to welcome Massachusetts to our growing list of TEAC partnership states. In these difficult economic times, states find that a TEAC partnership can assist them to maintain state standards while encouraging educator preparation programs to pursue higher standards and continuous improvement through TEAC’s national accreditation process.”
In addition to Massachusetts, TEAC has partnership agreements with Colorado, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia.
