Allen Splete

Allen Splete served as the Council of Independent College’s president from 1986 to 2000. Prior to that, he was president of Westminster College in Pennsylvania, coming to that position after twelve years as vice president for academic planning and special projects at St. Lawrence University. Splete has served many consultancies in higher education and been involved in numerous accreditation studies. He was a member of the CIC Task Force and Steering Committee that developed the conceptual framework for TEAC. Splete was named Chairman of the Board Emeritus at the June 2006 TEAC Board of Directors meeting.
