Register Today for the TEAC Annual Meeting

Registration is open for TEAC’s 11th annual meeting on Thursday, February 18, 2010, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Morning sessions (from 9:00 – 12:00) include a three-hour “Everything You Wanted to Know about the TEAC Audit but Were Afraid to Ask” discussion with President Frank Murray and Vice President for Audits Christine Carrino Gorowara. Three concurrent morning sessions include a discussion of value-added assessment of teachers’ impact on student learning, information about preparing an Inquiry Brief for continuing accreditation, and a discussion of how TEAC accreditation has helped strengthen programs.

TEAC’s 11th annual meeting begins at 1:00 and features a keynote address on “Conceptualizing Difference: Preparing New Teachers for a Language Diverse World,” by Donald Freeman of the University of Michigan. In addition, TEAC members will discuss “Linking K-12 Student Achivement to Teacher Education through Accreditation” and “Moving Assessment of Learning to Assessment for Learning.”
