The Inquiry Brief Workshop is designed to improve participants' understanding of the TEAC accreditation process, concentrating on key concepts and tasks central to framing and producing the Inquiry Brief or Inquiry Brief Proposal.

PROGRAM and RESULTS

The Inquiry Brief Workshop is organized so that participants can return to campus with a good start on a draft Brief as well as a solid understanding of the TEAC accreditation process and the role of the Brief in that process. During the workshop, participants will construct clear, concise, accurate, and defensible claims about their programs' outcomes and learn how to select, evaluate, and use evidence to support those claims.

SCHEDULE AND FORMAT

The Inquiry Brief Workshop will be held, October 25-26, 2007, at the Embassy Suites, Newark, DE. In order to hold a place in the session, you are encouraged to register now using the registration form accessed below. On Thursday, October 25, the session is from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.; on Friday, October 26, the session is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

A brief orientation session, "TEAC's Accreditation Process" will be offered from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon on October 25, reviewing  TEAC's accreditation process, quality principles, and  standards of capacity.  The session is highly recommended to participants new to the TEAC process; all registered participants are welcomed to attend . 


FEES

The Inquiry Brief Workshop fee for participants from TEAC Candidate Member or Affiliate Member Institutions is $400 per person. The fee for participants from institutions not yet TEAC Candidate or Affiliate Members is $450 per person. Included in the fee are all sessions, a workbook of resource articles and handouts, two lunches, one continental breakfast, and refreshment breaks. Participants will be on their own for dinner on Thursday night and are responsible for their own transportation and lodging. TEAC does not have the capacity to accept registration fees by credit card.

receive a guaranteed room rate of $169/night. In addition to Thursday night, a limited number of rooms is reserved for Wednesday night, October 24. This rate holds until September 24.
