Keynote Address: “Conceptualizing Difference: Preparing New Teachers for a Language Diverse World”: Many teacher educators have relatively limited experiential or academic background in languages and language learning to work effectively with language diverse students, some of whom come with varied levels of experience with formal schooling. What implications are raised for the design and practice of teacher education programs, clinical practice, and school curricula?
